Metallica treated 175 lucky fans to a short nine song set on Thursday (June 12th) ahead of the performance at the Bonnaroo Festival.
The band’s performance at Nashville's the Basement was enjoyed by members of their fan club and staff at the venue.
According to reports from the gig, the band’s set included the tracks ‘Seek and Destroy’, ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ and ‘Master of Puppets’.
Metallica are currently preparing to release their new studio album.
The as-yet-untitled record is expected in September and will be preceded by an extensive tour.
